A man has been hospitalized after being hit by a roller coaster at King’s Island amusement park in Mason, Ohio.

The incident happened Wednesday night after the guest entered the restricted area of the Banshee coaster. The ride reaches a top speed of 68 miles per hour. 

Sources said the man suffered critical injuries.

Police and park officials are investigating why the guest entered the restricted area of the ride.
