The Food and Drug Administration is concerned about people not using weight loss drugs correctly.

The FDA has received reports of people overdosing compounded semaglutide injectable products like Ozempic and Wegovy. 

The overdoses have led to medical attention and hospitalization of patients.    

In some cases, people have injected up to 20 times more medicine than required. 

Side effects of overdosing include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, fainting, headache, migraine, dehydration, acute pancreatitis, and gallstones.
