Americans pay twice as much for healthcare amongst its peer nations.
Study:
The Commonwealth Fund says even though Americans pay twice as much for it, it ranks dead last for healthcare amongst its ten peer nations.
The US is last in healthcare equity, outcomes and access.
One doctor who helped conduct the study said, “I see patients who cannot afford their medications … I see older patients arrive sicker than they should because they spent the majority of their lives uninsured. It’s time we finally build a health system that delivers quality affordable healthcare for all Americans.”
Neither presidential candidate has proposed major healthcare reform.
