Halloween is an epic holiday with costumes, decorations, and ghost stories. Some parts of the U.S. celebrate better than others.

The Travel Market Report lists the top 10 Halloween destinations. Anoka, Minnesota, is at the top, followed by Sleepy Hollow, NY, Salem, Massachusetts, Orlando, FL, New Orleans, Louisiana, Dallas, Texas, Los Angeles, California, Independance, Kansas; and Las Vegas, Nevada. 

The website mentioned that the town north of Minneapolis had the first Halloween parade in the U.S. in 1920. Anoka now has multiple parades and a huge house decorating contest.

St. Helens, Oregon, is also on the list for the Museum of Peculiarities and Oddities. The Travel Market Report mentioned that the town’s celebration increased after the Disney Channel filmed the movie Halloweentown in 1998.
