Plenty of people will travel for the 4th of July weekend.
AAA estimates 43.2 million people will hit the road for the holiday, a 2.4 percent hike from last year.
Transportation analysts say the best day for a road trip is Sunday, July 2nd, and Monday, July 3rd. Traffic will be at its worst on Friday, June 30th between 10 am and 5 pm and Wednesday, July 5th, from 3 pm and 6 pm.
Twenty-four million Americans are expected to use air travel from June 29th to July 5th. June 29th and 30th will be the busiest travel days.
Expedia says the most popular destinations will be Orlando, Los Angeles, and New York City.
Hopper predicts the busiest airports will be Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, and Los Angeles International Airport.
