Looking at numbers in 39 major cities, violent crime rates have fallen to pre-pandemic levels across the US.

The Council on Criminal Justice has found that homicide rates have fallen 13% since last year.  Aggravated assault has fallen by 7%.

However, there has been a big spike in shoplifting, which is up 24% since last year.
