Could your antidepressant be a part of a new FDA recall?
Recall of Popular Antidepressant
Thousands of bottles of the popular antidepressant duloxetine, also known as Cymbalta, are being recalled due the presence of a toxic chemical.
The more than 7,000 bottles recalled are 20mg in strength and sold in 500-capsule bottles.
They also have the lot number 22018 and have a December 2024 expiration date.
The FDA doesn’t recommend that affected users stop taking their medicine, but instead call their doctor immediately about treatment options. The administration wasn’t clear on what to do with the recalled medication.
