Credit card debt is going up.
Americans Average Over $6,300 In Credit Card Debt
Americans are sinking deeper into credit card debt.
TransUnion reports that the average balance for Americans is $6,328.
The amount of credit card debt held by consumers has gone up by 4.8 percent since last year. 
TransUnion said people “are maxing out their credit cards. That’s usually a pretty good indicator that people are stretched.”
The Federal Reserve Bank of New York found that over the last year, about 9.1 percent of credit card balances have become delinquent.
