Don’t get scammed while holiday shopping on Amazon!
Amazon Warns of Prime Membership Scams Ahead of Black Friday.
The first and most common is an email attachment scam which threatens to suspend a person’s Amazon account unless they enter their personal details. That attachment is malware so do not open it and never share your personal info!
The second scam targets Prime members by email, text or phone call and claims the account holder needs to give their personal info to “fix an accounting error”. Again, never share your personal details.
Impersonator scams like these cost Americans $660 million in 2022.
