Gardening Tips From The Steve Show!
I’m no expert, but here are my gardening tips.
By this time of Summer, your vegetable garden should yield some succulent vegetables. Unless you procrastinated and didn’t get the seeds planted until last week. Here’s hoping you can harvest some tomatoes before they’re covered in snow.
If you’re growing zucchini this year, you’ll need a lot of recipes to handle your garden’s harvest. You can always make zucchini bread, fried zucchini, and my favorite: dumping bags of zucchini on your neighbor’s front porch in the middle of the night.
Don’t forget to compost your lawn clippings, fallen leaves, and food waste from the kitchen. After your garden is done for the year, you can mix the compost into the soil so you’ll have a healthy garden next year. Or you can just wait until Halloween and hand out bags of compost to trick-or-treaters.
And remember that the secrets to a successful garden are: a little water; a little sunshine; and a lot of fertilizer. Sorta like this radio show.
