More Americans are holding on to their rides longer.

According to nationwide vehicle registration numbers, the average age of U.S.-owned vehicles is at an all-time high of 12.6 years. 

Many people can’t afford to get a new car since the average entry price is $45,000.

Others are trying to figure out if they want to switch from gas to electric.
