New homeowners found a gruesome discovery in the freezer.
New Homeowners Find Human Head In Freezer
Homeowners made a shocking discovery while giving away belongings left behind by the previous owners.
Mesa County Sheriff’s Office in Colorado says authorities responded to a home in Grand Junction last Friday (Jan. 12) after people at the address “cleaning out the recently sold property discovered possible human remains inside the residence.”
Authorities confirmed they found “a human head and human hands.”
A neighbor said that a woman and her son lived in the house together before recently moving out.
The neighbor, who declined to be identified, told the local outlet KREX that the new owners posted on social media inviting people to pick up “free stuff” that had been left in the home. While cleaning out one of those items – a deep freezer in the garage – the human remains were found in a black bag underneath frozen animal meat.
An autopsy report Thursday (Jan. 18) confirmed that a human head and human hands were found in a freezer. Authorities are now investigating a possible homicide.
The identity of the deceased has not been confirmed.
