Map Captures Extent of Punishing Heat Across The US
NASA has created a map showing the extent of the punishing heat that has spread across the entire US.
Taking a snapshot of July 10th’s temps, this map is colored nearly in entirely deep red, with the entire southwest taking the brunt of the heat.
It was 118 degrees on Las Vegas that day, with Death Valley sitting at 129 only days earlier.
Now, cities clear across the country like New York City are facing triple digit temps.
