The internet has made a connection to an ancient coffin in Egypt to The Simpsons
Newly Unearthed Mummy Coffin Depicts Figure That Looks Like Marge Simpson
A new coffin unearthed in Egypt has some people saying, “D’oh!”
Archeologists recently excavated several coffins from a recently discovered 3,500-year-old cemetery in Minya, Egypt.
Since then, images of one of the coffins have caught the attention of the internet, with many comparing a figure depicted in the lid of the sarcophagus to the popular Simpsons character Marge Simpson, according New York Post.
The upper lid of one of the coffins recently unearthed in Middle Egypt shows a yellow-colored woman, dressed in green clothing. The figure also appears to have a large blue rectangle on her head, like Marge’s iconic sky-high blue hair.
The long-running show is often credited for making predictions about the future, such as technology similar to the Apple Vision Pro and the explosion of the Titanic submersible.
“Matt Groening really is a time traveler,” someone commented on Reddit, referencing the cartoon’s creator.“
“Egypt predicted Simpsons,” another wrote.
