The IRS wants a piece of those ticket sales.
The IRS is going after ticket scalpers.
Now, resellers who passed $600 in ticket sales on marketplaces such as StubHub and Ticketmaster now need to report their activity to the IRS.
The previous threshold for reporting ticket sales was $20,000.
The change comes as tickets to see artists like Taylor Swift resell for thousands of dollars on sites like StubHub.
With this change, the IRS will likely receive 44 million forms for the 2023 tax year.
