Neuralink Shows First Brain-Chip Patient Playing Online Chess Using His Mind
The first patient to receive a brain chip from Elon Musk’s Neuralink has been shown in a video playing chess with only his mind.
The 29-year-old quadriplegic, who was paralyzed after a car accident, appears to move a cursor across a computer screen using nothing but his thoughts.
He received the implant in January and says it’s already “changed” his life.
Musk has said that hopes his brain chip will allow those with disabilities the ability to “communicate faster than an auctioneer”.
