What is “pumpkin creep”?

The term “pumpkin creep” refers to the fact that pumpkin spice stuff seems to appear earlier and earlier every year, despite the fact that the actual autumn itself has always begun in late September and runs through late December.

Pumpkin-spiced beers are expected to hit store shelves as early as August 1st, like Sam Adams’ Oktoberfest and Jack-O brews.

7-Eleven may likely release their fall goods early, too.  Last year, the convenience store released its pumpkin-spiced foods and drinks on August 5th!
