For the past four months, Suits has been the hottest series, breaking a ton of streaming viewership records. 

The franchise, which ended after 9 seasons in September 2019, is plotting a comeback! Suits endedpartly due to Meghan Markle leaving to join the British royal family after season 7.

Sources tell Deadline that series creator Aaron Korsh is developing a Suits offshoot for NBCUniversal. Deals are still being negotiated, but the project has a serious commitment.

It’s not going to be a revival or reboot or a spinoff, but a “Suits” universe series in the vein of the CSI and NCIS franchises featuring new characters in a new location. Los Angeles is a backdrop considered for the workplace drama.

The original Suits and spinoff Pearson, which saw Gina Torres’ Jessica Pearson navigate the world of Chicago politics, ran for one season in 2019. Both aired on the company’s USA Network.

Last week, Suits surpassed Ozark for the most No. 1 overall finishes in the Nielsen Streaming Top 10 ever.
