Sargento Cheese Recall Hits 15 States
Thousands of cases of shredded cheese have been pulled from shelves over listeria concerns.
Sargento recalled the products, supplied by Rizo-López Foods, ending its partnership with the supplier in a March 7th announcement. The company has been linked to at least two deaths from past listeria outbreaks.
Cheese varieties recalled include parmesan, Swiss, cheddar and more.
States impacted by the recall include Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin.
Please discard the cheese and thoroughly clean your fridge if you have Sargento cheese.
