Record Breaking Roller Coaster Is Coming To…Virginia?
While most people think of California and Florida for tall and fast rollercoasters, Virginia is keeping pace. 
King’s Dominion in Doswell, Virginia (just south of Washington D.C.), will open the world’s tallest and fastest winged rollercoaster next year.
The ride is called Rapterra. It includes a 65-mile-per-hour launch, with “sweeping turns” and “three stomach-churning inversions.”
Its 3,086-foot track and 145-foot height make it the longest and tallest winged launch coaster in the world.
