States with The Biggest Families
World Population Review’s latest map shows that Utah moms and dads have been getting busy. The state has the biggest families in the US, averaging at 3.58 people.
Utah Tech explained the reason for the bigger families, citing “religious, economic, cultural and policy factors.”
California (3.52) and Hawaii (3.50) are the second and third states for biggest families.
Northeastern states Maine (2.82), Vermont (2.83) and New Hampshire (2.92) had the smallest families in the United States.
