Toyota Issues ‘Do Not Drive’ Advisory on Certain Models
Toyota is urging owners of 50,000 older model vehicles to keep them parked immediately and get their air bags fixed.
This recall affects:
- 2003-2004 Corolla
- 2003-2004 Corolla Matrix
- 2004-2005 RAV4
The model’s older airbags could have a part that could explode and shoot out metal fragments, causing injury or death.
“Owners SHOULD NOT DRIVE these vehicles until the FREE safety recall repair has been conducted,” Toyota stated.
