Looking to block those YouTube ads?  Well, YouTube wants to block your blocker.

The platform has begun cracking down on ad-blocking software – with users getting a message telling them that their video won’t play unless the ad blocker is disabled. 

A spokesperson says ad blockers violate YouTube’s terms of service and keep YouTube creators from making money off ad revenues – but it’s also likely they just want you to subscribe to the premium ad-free tier.
