Happy first day of summer! Here’s a few “summer plotlines” to enjoy on this first day of Summer . . .

  • Most of the country is under a brutal “heat dome” right now. It’s expected to extend into much of next week in a lot of places.
  • Kroger is giving away 92,000 free pints of ice cream. You can download a coupon while supplies last HERE.  (It goes live at noon Eastern today)
  • What’s the best thermostat setting for summer? According to Martha Stewart’s website, the “ideal” temp indoors is 70 degrees. But if you want to save money, the ideal setting is 78 degrees. Each degree above 75 saves about 3% on your energy bill.
  • And finally: Summer is our favorite season. 32% voted Summer as the best, Spring is second, with 28%, Fall, 25%, and Winter, 11% (4% don’t have a favorite season).
