AOL To Shut Down Dial-Up Internet Service
AOL has announced it will shut down its dial-up internet service on September 30th after 34 years.
As of 2019, more than 265,000 Americans were still using AOL dial-up, once synonymous with the early mainstream days of the internet.
AOL Dialer software and AOL Shield browser will also shut down at the end of September.
