Man Arrested After Stealing From Store, Fleeing From Police

Officers were dispatched to a theft in progress report at Dick’s Sporting Goods at 1960 Tiffin Avenue on May 15, 2026 at 1916 hours.

A male was suspected of walking out of the store with a full cart of items and loading the items into a red Dodge SUV.

The Dodge was observed westbound in the 1100 block of Tiffin Ave when officers initiated a traffic stop with it.

The vehicle began driving around traffic at speeds of approximately 60mph.

The vehicle ran the red light at the intersection of Tiffin Ave and G St before coming to a stop at Wendy’s (500 Tiffin Ave).

The operator, Christopher Anders, was found to be in possession of a felony amount of stolen goods from Dick’s and various other stores.

Christopher was taken into custody for Fleeing and Eluding and Theft.
