Now, Divorcing Couples Can Fight Over “Who Gets the Netflix Password”
Newsweek talked to a woman who got divorced, and asked for her ex’s Netflix password in the settlement (it was actually written in). And she gets to keep access to the account indefinitely. But it may not last FOREVER. She out of luck if her ex cancels his subscription, but she says she’s fine with that. It’s definitely a sign of the times (and “you kids get off my lawn”). A Netflix password is more valuable than the actual relationship. Nobody says, “I miss her laugh” . . . they say, “Does anybody remember if the password had an exclamation point?”
