A hot weekend is ahead.

Scorching Temperatures In Parts of the U.S. To Kickoff Summer

The first days of summer will feel like it in parts of the U.S.

The Summer Solstice happens Friday night, and in some areas the temperatures will be way above average for this time of year.

A heat dome is covering the Central United States, and highs are expected to reach the 90s and even 100s.

The warm weather will move from the Midwest and Great Lakes this weekend to the Ohio Valley, Northeast, and Mid-Atlantic next week.
