Another health challenge to deal with.

Nearly Half Of US Exposed To Air Pollution

Air Pollution Environment GIF

Nerly half of Americans, specifically 46% of the population, live in areas with unhealthy levels of ozone or particulate pollution.

Data from the American Lung Association indicates that extreme heat, wildfires, and drought are contributing to the decline in air quality across the country, with all these issues linked to climate change.

According to the Lung Association’s rankings, Los Angeles, Visalia, and Bakersfield in California are the U.S. metropolitan areas most affected by ozone pollution.

Additionally, Hispanic individuals are nearly three times more likely than white individuals to reside in areas that receive failing grades in all three pollution categories.
