CDC Puts 30 States In The High Flu Case Level As Superbug Spreads

Flu infections surged over the holidays, with health officials warning of a severe season that is likely to worsen.

New government data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show flu activity through the week of Christmas is already surpassing last winter’s epidemic.

The CDC says 30 states have high flu levels.

The dominant flu strain this season is H3N2, known for causing more severe illness, hospitalizations, and deaths, particularly among the elderly and young children.
