Did you know that you can adopt frozen embryos?

‘World’s Oldest Baby’ Born in Ohio From Embryo Frozen Over 30 Years Age

The “world’s oldest baby” was born in Ohio last week from an embryo that had been frozen for more than 30 years.

Thaddeus Daniel Pierce was born via adopted-IVF on July 26 to parents Lindsey, 34, and Tim Pierce, 35, who said the fertilized embryo was first frozen in May 1994, MIT Technology Review reported.

“We had a rough birth, but we are both doing well now,” Lindsey told the outlet. “He is so chill. We are in awe that we have this precious baby!”

“The baby has a 30-year-old sister,” the proud mom said, adding that her hubby was just a toddler when his son’s embryo was created.

The couple said they were floored by the fact that a program to adopt embryos even existed.
