Over 140,000 Pounds of Bologna Recalled

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall of over 140,000 pounds of bologna.

The product, manufactured by Gaiser’s European Style Provisions,   was recalled due to misbranding. The bologna contained meat or poultry that was not declared on the labels.

The products were made between March 20 and June 20 under various brands, with the specific issue listed after the name, and have “EST. 5385” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The recalled bologna was distributed to wholesalers and retailers nationwide. Consumers are advised not to eat it, while businesses are instructed not to serve it.

Individuals can contact Gaiser’s European Style Provisions Inc. at 908-686-3421 for more information on the recall.
