“Has AI Started Doing Part of Your Job Yet?”
Workers Say AI Has Taken Part Of Their Job
More than one in four Americans who use artificial intelligence at work said it has replaced some of their daily tasks.
According to the Epoch AI/Ipsos survey, half of U.S. adults reported using AI tools in the past week, with a nearly even split between those who use it primarily for work and those who use it for personal tasks.
Some employees reported that AI has automated existing tasks, with 27 percent saying it has replaced some of their tasks, while 68 percent said it has not.
Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI’s ChatGPT, and Google Gemini were the top three most-used AI tools among employed U.S. adults for work.
The survey also highlighted the impact of employer-provided subscriptions on AI usage, with 76 percent of users with employer-provided subscriptions using AI at least as much for work as for personal tasks, compared to 58 percent of self-paying subscribers.
