Artificial intelligence is officially hitting the dating scene as singles increasingly use chatbots for personal relationship coaching.
People are turning to technology to build better dating profiles, brainstorm first date ideas, and decode text messages from potential partners.
The director of relationship science at Hinge, Logan Ury, said AI should act as your “wingman” instead of your “ghostwriter.”
Ury said that matches need to meet the real person they chatted with online.
She firmly advised against copying and pasting AI-generated messages or using the technology to alter dating profile pictures.
Experts concluded that AI provides useful data points, but the technology cannot replace a genuine human connection in the search for love.
