President Trump has settled his lawsuit against Meta, with the parent company of Facebook agreeing to pay him $25 million over banning his account after the January 6th riots.

The company first suspended his account in early 2021 and then banned him from the social media app in June.  Twitter, now X and owned by Elon Musk, also banned Trump.

Trump then sued both apps, saying the bans violated his right to free speech.

‘WSJ’ says $22 million of the settlement will go towards the Trump Presidential Library.
