Steve’s Heartburn: The “One-Minute Favor” That Takes All Day

You’re finally focused.

You’re making progress.

Things are actually getting done.

Then someone says:

“Hey… can you do one quick thing?”

You answer:

“Yeah, in a minute.”

Thirty seconds later:

“Did you do it yet?”

Another minute later:

“Just checking on that thing…”

Now suddenly their one-minute favor has become your full-time job.

Meanwhile the thing you were already doing?

Completely derailed like a grocery cart with a bad wheel.

If it really only took a minute…

they wouldn’t need five reminders. 😄
