It’s time to get up!

How Often Should You Move To Live Longer?

You do not need hours in the gym to live a longer life. Sports medicine physician Dr. Jordan Metzl calls moving your body seven days a week the absolute best way to boost your health.

He names daily activity the “number one thing” for extending your healthy years. You simply need to put in more effort in your daily routine.

“We have increasing evidence that even just two minutes a day of vigorous physical activity, independent of exercise, is valuable for extending longevity,” Metzl says.

This quick daily movement combats the deadly effects of a sedentary lifestyle. You can easily build it into your day by taking the stairs, cleaning your home, or carrying heavy groceries.

Every little action counts. You just need to activate your muscles and breathe faster. Metzl says the effort works perfectly “as long as it gets you huffing and puffing.”

The doctor suggests setting daily alarms to build this new habit. He reminds everyone that unlike trendy longevity supplements, moving your body is completely “free and it’s safe.”
