AAA: 45.1 Million Americans To Travel for Memorial Day

AAA projects that a record 45.1 million Americans will travel at least 50 miles or more over Memorial Day weekend, the highest volume of travelers since the company began tracking travel in 2000.

Nearly 40 million Americans will take to the US roads over the Memorial Day holiday. INRIX recommends driving in the mornings to avoid traffic congestion.

Around 3.6 million will fly to their Memorial Day holiday destinations.

More than 2 million will travel by bus, train, or cruise.

The good news? Gas prices are lower this year, averaging $3.59 per gallon. However, airline prices have gone up by 2% year over year.
