Remember When the Radio Was the Only Thing in the Car?

📻 There was a time when getting in the car meant one thing:

Turning on the radio and seeing what was already playing.

No choosing the song.
No rewinding.
No skipping.

Just hoping you caught the beginning before the DJ talked over the intro.

And somehow… that made it better.

You discovered songs you didn’t expect. Heard bands you didn’t know yet. And when your favorite track finally came on, you stayed parked until it ended — even if you were already late getting inside.

Back then the presets mattered.

Everybody had their stations.
Everybody had their volume level.
And nobody touched the scan button unless things were getting desperate.

Funny how the less control we had… the more fun it felt.

Speaking of things that don’t work the way they used to, today’s Steve’s Heartburn for the Day might sound familiar too.Nothing-Was-Wrong-Until-The-Update!
