Over 10 Million Grill Brushes Recalled Because of Loose Bristles

A recall on grill brushes is happening right as cookout season is starting.

More than 10 million Nexgrill wire grill brushes are under a massive nationwide recall.

Small metal bristles can detach from the brushes and fall directly into your food.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission warns of a major health hazard. Diners can easily swallow the hidden metal pieces and suffer from “serious internal injuries.”

The company has already received 68 reports of the metal pieces breaking off.

There have been five terrifying cases requiring emergency medical treatment to remove sharp bristles from patients’ throats and digestive tracts.

The recall covers six different Nexgrill models sold at Home Depot and online since 2015.

The affected brushes feature black plastic or wooden handles measuring up to 21 inches long.

Officials urge consumers to stop using the dangerous brushes immediately. You can contact Nexgrill online with a photo of your brush to receive a full refund as a gift card.
