Economist Mike Walden says the salmonella-linked recall of more than 20 million eggs could drive prices higher.

The recall affects nine states as a previous avian flu outbreak lead to a previous egg shortage.

Walden believes that egg prices could rise by another 25% in affected areas like Arizona, California, Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Washington and Wyoming.
