Polls: Americans Are Not Happy With High Prices and Economy

Nearly three-quarters say the economy is getting worse.

A new Gallup poll finds that 73% of Americans are fed up with the current state of the economy.   

Americans are increasingly pessimistic about the economy, with 47% rating current economic conditions as “poor,” up 7 points from March, and 70% of registered voters feeling the economy is deteriorating.

Most voters blame President Trump for the economy, with 56% saying his policies are hurting the economy, according to Fox News.

Americans are feeling the impact of high prices, with 82% reporting increases in grocery prices and 93% reporting higher gas prices, according to a Marquette poll.  

A CNBC poll says voters are cutting back on spending due to rising costs, with many reducing out-of-home entertainment, travel, and essential purchases.
