2025 Hurricane Season Outlook
The 2025 hurricane season begins this Sunday, June 1st, and NOAA predicts a 60% chance of an above-average season.

Federal forecasters also predict 13 to 19 named storms (storms with winds at 39 or more mph) with 6 to 10 becoming hurricanes, leading to the chance that 3 to 5 could turn into major hurricanes with winds reaching 111 or more mph.
Florida and Texas will see the most hurricanes.
