A holiday survey by the AP found some interesting patterns about the current season. 

Nearly 30% of US adults plan to give their pets a gift this year.

Only 10% will participate in Elf on the Shelf.

The survey found that 25% of US adults plan to watch sports on Christmas Day.

Just 5% will go out to a movie on Christmas.   

The research discovered more information about New Year’s. 

The poll said that 44% of Americans say they won’t stay up until midnight on New Year’s Eve. 

About half of adults 45 and older won’t make it to midnight, compared to one-third of those under 45.

About a third of US adults will keep their holiday decorations up after New Year’s Day.
