Which tech giant is rolling out ads for users in the U.S. starting next month?
Commercials on ChatGPT?

OpenAI has announced it will begin testing advertisements in ChatGPT’s free tier and the newly launched $8 Go plan, while keeping premium tiers (Pro, Plus, Business, and Enterprise) ad-free.
The ads will be displayed at the bottom of conversations, clearly labeled as sponsored content, and users will have the option to dismiss them and disable ad personalization.
OpenAI assures that ads will not influence chatbot responses or compromise user privacy, stating that user conversations won’t be sold to advertisers, and ads will not be served to users believed to be under 18.
The primary motivation for integrating ads is to generate revenue from its extensive free user base—reportedly around 400 million users—while ensuring access to the service remains affordable.
