FDA To Pull Prescription Fluoride Products for Kids 

The FDA announced that it’s phasing out children’s fluoride-containing supplements, commonly used to strengthen teeth.

The administration stated it would conduct a scientific review this Fall to pull them from shelves.

While previous studies haven’t shown any serious risks to the public, the FDA claims that some studies have suggested that excessive fluoride intake by children can cause issues, like low IQ.

Utah has already banned fluoride from drinking water, but the state sells over-the-counter supplements.
