Will we ever know what’s out there?

Scientists Believe There’s a 99.7 Percent Chance of Life on Distant Planet

Scientists think there is life on a planet far, far away.

Researchers at Cambridge University’s Institute of Astronomy believe that there is a 99.7 percent chance that there is life on the K2-18B planet that’s 700 trillion miles from Earth.

After analyzing data from NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope, the scientists discovered “the chemical signature of at least one of two molecules that are associated with life” that are similar to what we have on Earth.

One of the researchers said, “If we confirm that there is life on K2-18B, it should basically confirm that life is very common in the galaxy.”

Though promising, scientists won’t confirm proof of life on another planet unless the results show a 99.99999 percent chance.
