A Long Covid Patient Good News Story

“Long Covid” and “Good News” don’t usually belong in the same sentence. But a video has gone viral, of a long Covid patient from here in Ohio. Jennifer Henderson hasn’t had a proper sense of smell since she contracted COVID-19. In the video she breaks into tears after SMELLING coffee for the first time in two years. Through interaction with other Long Covid patients, she heard about a common treatment for pain management called a stellate ganglion block (SGB) which was used to improve smell and taste for some patients with long COVID. In December 2022 she had her first SGB injection at the Cleveland Clinic, and that is where the video was recorded.
