Are These Comedies “Nearly Perfect”?

The website Collider believes there are 10 NEARLY perfect one comedies, and they’ve ranked them for us. I love lists like these, because they allow me to rationalize how LAME these are. And more importantly, how MY list sooooo much better than theirs! That said, this list isn’t terrible, here’s their Top 5 . . .

#5: “Ghostbusters”  (1984)

#4: “Some Like It Hot”  (1959)

#3: “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”  (1975)

#2: “Airplane!”  (1980)

#1: “Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb”  (1964)

Again, not a bad list, but there are plenty of movies that didn’t make their list, including “There’s Something About Mary”, “Bridesmaids”, or maybe some Charlie Chaplin or Marx Brothers movies. And I’ve said it before . . . “any list where “Blazing Saddles” ISN’T in the Top 5 is VERY suspect! Click HERE to check out their entire list.
