Yesterday was Columbus Day, and I when I got home, I watched one of those National Geographic type documentaries on Christopher Columbus that I found FACINATING! I learned a bunch of things about Christopher Columbus, I never knew! So let me share some Christopher Columbus Fun Facts . . .

  • One of Columbus biggest obstacles was his own crew. Many of his men believed that the world was flat, the ocean was filled with sea monsters, and rap music was good.
  • The 3 Sailing ships, the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria were originally called Larry, Moe and Curley
  • To pass the time aboard ship, Columbus and his men played the License Plate Game
  • Columbus, Ohio, is so named because it was the first place in Ohio that Columbus landed.
